Fake Kittens Review

So a small make-up company got in contact with me and sent me over some of their products to review and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.

The products came in a cute little bag like this and it is so lovely to keep as well and use for other things as well as these.

This was the first lipstick and it is in the shade 'Dorothy' and it is a very bright red, I love it. They are very creamy but feel very smooth and moisturising on the lips and it is a lovely colour too. I love this as it matches well with my hair as it is bright red. This is a colour I will definitely be wearing on a night out.

I have absolutely fallen in love with this colour. It is in the shade 'Peace' and this is also very creamy just like the red one. This is something I would wear on a day to day basis with my subtle eye shadows as it would bring some colour out in my face. I love this colour and I will be wearing it more often.

I was so happy with this mascara. I am always nervous about trying them because all mascaras are very different and this one went on perfectly, no clumps and it stays on lovely for a long time.

I am very happy with the products I received from Fake Kitten and I cant wait to see the new products that they bring out in the future.

WAYS I WANT TO BETTER MYSELF

Healthy eating
I've got to the point now where I want to feel better about myself and be a lot healthier because I know I will be a lot happier if I start eating better. I have done some food shopping this week and there is a lot of greens! I haven't bought myself any chocolate, crisps, biscuits or anything. I have bought lots of chicken and salmon, vegetables, fruits, yoghurt, wraps, salad and more and with these I've written out an eating plan too. For breakfast I am going to have porridge with bananas and almond milk and a mango and pineapple smoothie, for lunch I will make a chicken salad and have a yoghurt afterwards with some fruit and for dinner I will have salmon/ chicken with brown rice and vegetables. Obviously I will add lots of herbs and sauces to my meals too! And of course, I will be drinking lots of water. I am looking forward to having a healthier and happier lifestyle.

Manage my money better
I go out a lot on weekends and tend to waste a lot of my money on drinking and I would like to start spending my money on treating myself more instead of wasting it on alcohol and I also want to start saving more money as well for my future. When I finish University in 3 years, I want to be able to get my own place as soon as I can and try to have no money complications for what I want in life, so saving is something I must do to make sure that I have a good future.

Relax
I let things get to me so much, things wind me up and I get upset over the littlest things. I need to try and relax a lot more and not let things get to me as much as I let them. I stress myself out a lot more than I need to. Maybe I need to get off my phone more and read books and drift myself off into another world where nothing can bother me.

Take more care of my skin
Lately, I have been getting a lot more spots than I usually do and my skin hasn't been very clear and smooth. So, I need to start using more skin products such as face masks, moisturisers, cleansing waters etc... Maybe these things will help improve my skin and make my face look and feel a lot smoother.

Only I can make myself happy, and it is important to make yourself happy because no one else is going to do it for you. Only you can choose what you want in life.

NEW DRUGSTORE PURCHASES

I can never get enough of drugstore make up, I love it all and one day I hope to own ALLLLLL of the make up in the world which is drugstore! You can get so much for your money and most of it is such amazing quality. Most of these products are Makeup Revolution.

I Heart Makeup Lip Lava - Forgiven
These Lip Lava lipsticks from 'I Heart Makeup' remind me of the melted lipsticks from Too Faced but these are still amazing and this colour is gorgeous. I am going to buy some more of these. They last quite a while and don't come off very easily.

Makeup Revolution Lipstick
This lipstick is from Makeup Revolution and I love these because they are very cheap and something you would probably put on if you were in a hurry to go somewhere. The colour is lovely, however, it comes off quite easily and quite quickly and is something you would need to re-apply.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation -
I didn't actually buy this, my mom had it but she didn't really like the colour on her skin and she doesn't really wear foundation anyway so she gave it to me. I absolutely LOVE it. It's such a good foundation and gives really good coverage. It is a great colour for my skin and I am going to buy some more of it.

I Heart Makeup Lipstick
This is a gorgeous bright pink rose coloured lipstick from I Heart Makeup and I actually haven't tried this yet apart from a swatch on my hand but again it was cheap and something I just had to get to have as a go to lipstick.

Makeup Revolution Liquid Eye liner
A liquid eye liner from Makeup Revolution which I don't know what to think of. I bought two of these because they were cheap and I always need to stock up on eye liners because I wear it every day, I love to try new ones, however, this is a really really thin eye liner and I don't like my eye liner to be that thin so this one isn't the best one for me to use. Although, it would be good for people who like their eye liner to be really thin.

I Heart Makeup Highlighter
This is a very subtle highlighter from I Heart Makeup which I really like. But, I would only wear this on a day that I am wearing minimal make up. When I am wearing a full face of make up, I like to wear highlighters where you can clearly see a glow but when I am not doing nothing big during the day, this would be the right highlighter for me to wear.

Makeup Revolution Radiant Lights
I haven't actually tried this yet but I have done a swatch on my hand which looks very nice to use but I am saving this to do a first impressions video on my YouTube channel on the whole radiant lights set from Makeup Revolution. So keep a look out for it!

Makeup Revolution Salvation Lip Lacquer - Depravity
If you watch me on YouTube, you should all know how much I love my purples so I just HAD to get this. I was after a bright purple matte liquid lipstick for a long time. I was going to buy one from BH Cosmetics a while back but it was out of stock but then I came across this. I never actually knew Revolution did matte liquid lipsticks so I was so happy I found this and I would recommend it to anyone who loves bright colours because this is amazing! Very good quality and such a nice colour.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter - Pink Lights
A highlighter which I am obsessed with. I love my bright colours and reds and purples so this highlighter is perfect for me. I love to stand out and be different.

Makeup Revolution Brow Kit
I have never owned a brow kit before, I have always just stuck to cheap eyebrow pencils because they just did it for me, but I have now decided to finally up my game in eyebrow products and try out new things. I haven't tried this yet but I am really excited to try something new and different. I have a lot of eyebrow products on my list that I want to buy next.

Miss Sporty Insta Glow Primer
I had heard a lot of good things about this primer and how CUTE is the packaging??? I love it and it is a very good primer. It really helps give your face a lot of radiance and helps your make up stay on so well. I am looking to do a Miss Sporty full face of make up so keep a look out on my YouTube channel for it.

Revolution Amazing Curve Mascara
One of the best drugstore mascara's I have found and also one of the cheapest!!!! It was around £2 and honestly it is great. The actual brush is great and this is now my every day mascara. I have bought quite a few of these and I would recommend anyone to get it. SO good for the price.

Makeup Revolution Awesome Eye Foil Pure Platinum
I am waiting to use this for a night out so I haven't used it yet but I am so excited to use it. It came with a mini metal tray and some primer solution which was very cute. I am going to do a Clubbing GRWM video on my YouTube channel so keep a look out for it because I am going to be using this product in it.

Makeup Revolution Blush
These are very cheap blushers which I decided to add to my basket just because I don't own many pink blushes but they are very good and add such a lovely spot of colour to your face. Again, these would be blushers I would wear on a lazy day or a minimal make up day.

Nivea Men Post Shave Balm
A lot of people should have heard the hype about this but some people may have not heard about it. NikkieTutorials on YouTube discovered this and most girls have now been using it as a primer thanks to her. It is one of the best things EVER to use as a primer. I am actually going to do an impressions video on this on my channel to prove to you guys that it is a great primer. It lasts AGES as well.

PARIS: DAY 3

It was our last day and we wanted to make the most of it so today we decided we would go to the Louvre, one of the largest museums in the world. It is a central landmark of the city.

At first we didn't really know where we had to go or what to do and there seemed to be no queue for people without tickets but my friends dad told us about a side entrance where nobody really goes to get tickets. It was actually inside the shopping centre and when we got there to get tickets they actually told us that anyone who lived in England and was under 26 years of age were able to go in free! All we had to do was show our passports to get let through so we were so happy about that.

On our way to the entrance we walked through the little shopping centre and oh my god, everything was so unique and beautiful and expensive. We wished we had brought A LOT more money to spend!

We finally got through the entrance of the museum and everything was so wonderful to look at, all of the artwork was amazing. It was a huge building with many rooms to look around.

As we were walking we came across my most favourite statue ever, the Venus De Milo, who was a Greek goddess. I did some work on this during college and I took to it quite a lot and I had completely forgotten that the statue was in this museum so seeing this really made my day.

Also we got the chance to see the original Monna Lisa and it was such a great feeling to be able to see it in real life.

We spent about 2 hours around the museum however we did not see all of it, it is huge and it is something you would need to go to for the whole day and we didn't want to do that as we had other things we wanted to do for the rest of the day. We said we would definitely come to Paris again and spend a whole day at the Louvre so we get a chance to see everything.

We were starving so we decided to make our way to the Latin Quarter to have some food as we hadn't had a proper meal yet, and we found a lovely restaurant just across from the Notre Dame and it was DELICIOUS! I had chicken and chips and my friend had raw mince meat with egg (I can't remember the actual name of it but it sounded and looked gross but she loved it).

After we had eaten we looked around the shops again like we did the day before and we found a lovely chocolate shop and from here I brought some Macaroons because I just HAD to try them and take some home with me. They are so pretty and colourful.

We finally made our way back to the hotel and we got ourself some snacks and a little bottle of champagne to celebrate our wonderful and safe journey in Paris.

I loved every single minute spent in Paris and having such a lovely hotel to stay in was a bonus. I miss it a lot and we have both said we would definitely go again to the same hotel and spend just a few more days there because we didn't have enough days to see everything we wanted to in Paris. I cannot wait to go again.

PARIS: DAY 2

It was our second day and our first morning in Paris and we went down for our first breakfast as we paid for bed and breakfast for our stay. It was only continental but we were happy with that because it filled us up having as much as we wanted and we definitely made the most of the breakfast. It was lovely having jam on toast and croissants with chocolate spread.

We planned our second day ahead where we wanted to visit the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame and that is what we did.

We was in the queue for quite a while to get to the top of the Eiffel Tower but it was worth it as the view was amazing (it was extremely cold up there). It's nice to say that we have now visited one of the most popular landmarks in Europe and also been to the top of it. It was an amazing feeling. You can pretty much see the whole of Paris at the top and honestly, it is a lot bigger in real life than you think.

We had been walking and waiting around for quite a while so we wanted to have a break and we were pretty hungry so we went to a small cafe where we had some chips and a coffee. Well, we ordered the coffee thinking it would be normal but obviously our French wasn't that good so we couldn't understand a lot of the menu but they turned out to be espresso's so they weren't all that great. While we were having our break we planned our route to get to the Notre Dame and called our parents to let them know we were okay and to tell them what we had done with our day and what we were planning to do with the rest of it.

We visited the Notre Dame and it was lovely. It is such a nice building inside and out and the architecture was amazing to look at. It is huge and it was great to see all of the historical memories in there. We could light candles in there so we thought it would be nice to light a few candles for our lost ones. It was a lovely feeling to do it.

Once we had finished our walk around the Notre Dame we had another break and had a Vanilla Latte at Starbucks and if I'm honest, they taste SO much better in France than they do in England. We didn't really know what we wanted to do for the rest of the day so we decided to just have a walk around the area and have a look around the Latin Quarter and it was lovely. There was a lot of small lovely shops that we had a look around and it was very colourful and lively too.

This was one of the small shops in the Latin Quarter and we was so in love with everything in there. The designs on the bags and scarves were beautiful and all of the jewellery was so unique and we just wish we had hundreds of pounds to spend in there...

After a long day, we went to Subway (again) and we couldn't wait to get into bed because were exhausted from all the walking around. I went in the shower and washed my hair and it caused a bit of an issue because I have bright red hair and it ended up staining some of the bathroom LOL so we were up for a few hours scrubbing the bathroom because we REALLY didn't want to get charged for hair dye stains. Oops!

PARIS: DAY 1

So me and my friend went to Paris for 3 nights. We have just finished our first year of university and we just have one exam to do, so we thought we would finish our first year by going on a break to Paris.

Our flight was at 6:00am so we had to leave around 3:30am to get to Luton Airport on time. Everything was fine, we went through security and baggage completely fine and the flight was great and it only took about 45 minutes.

We hadn't organised travel from the airport to the hotel so we sat down with a McDonalds after our flight and figured out what to do and we knew we had to get the train and then the metro, it was a pretty easy route. We went to get our train tickets and someone told us it was cheaper and easier for us to get an unlimited pass for 26 euros which you could use on all the metros, trains and buses so we knew that this was going to be really useful for us and we saved a lot of money by getting it. However, we needed a photograph for the pass so we had to go to a photo booth but they told us that we could only use 1 euro coins so we had to get some change but NO ONE would give us any change and all of the change machines were broken. About an hour later we finally got change but then we were in the queue for the photo booth for about 45 minutes. It took ages and when it was finally our turn to get our photographs done, it turns out we could use notes for it, so basically we were stressing about getting some change when we could have used notes in the first place.

Once we had got our passes sorted we finally made our way to the hotel. The underground was very easy to use as it was just the same as using the ones in London. Also, if we hadn't have had the trouble with the photograph situation, we would have gotten to the hotel a lot earlier than we did. It also didn't help that we had lots of bags to carry and that we were doing all of this on 3 hours sleep.

We were so happy to finally get to the hotel and the receptionist was also lovely and very helpful in showing and telling us where places were in the area and what metro stations were the best to use to get to places such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.

The hotel room was amazing and the fact we had a balcony to smoke on made us very happy. The room was very clean and modern and we also had a SAMSUNG television. We paid about £180 for the room each and that was also for the upgraded room as it was the only one left available. It was definitely worth the money and I think we will 100% go back to this hotel at some point.

We didn't do much once we had got to the hotel, we unpacked and we went out to get a Subway as we hadn't eaten for about 9 hours and we had a look around the area and it was such a lovely area. There were plenty of shops and restaurants. We were exhausted as we had had such a long stressful day so we just wanted to chill and have an early night for the next day as we had a lot planned. We went to sleep about 6pm, that is how tired we were! I mean, who goes to sleep at 6pm?!
