PARIS: DAY 2

It was our second day and our first morning in Paris and we went down for our first breakfast as we paid for bed and breakfast for our stay. It was only continental but we were happy with that because it filled us up having as much as we wanted and we definitely made the most of the breakfast. It was lovely having jam on toast and croissants with chocolate spread.

We planned our second day ahead where we wanted to visit the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame and that is what we did.

We was in the queue for quite a while to get to the top of the Eiffel Tower but it was worth it as the view was amazing (it was extremely cold up there). It's nice to say that we have now visited one of the most popular landmarks in Europe and also been to the top of it. It was an amazing feeling. You can pretty much see the whole of Paris at the top and honestly, it is a lot bigger in real life than you think.

We had been walking and waiting around for quite a while so we wanted to have a break and we were pretty hungry so we went to a small cafe where we had some chips and a coffee. Well, we ordered the coffee thinking it would be normal but obviously our French wasn't that good so we couldn't understand a lot of the menu but they turned out to be espresso's so they weren't all that great. While we were having our break we planned our route to get to the Notre Dame and called our parents to let them know we were okay and to tell them what we had done with our day and what we were planning to do with the rest of it.

We visited the Notre Dame and it was lovely. It is such a nice building inside and out and the architecture was amazing to look at. It is huge and it was great to see all of the historical memories in there. We could light candles in there so we thought it would be nice to light a few candles for our lost ones. It was a lovely feeling to do it.

Once we had finished our walk around the Notre Dame we had another break and had a Vanilla Latte at Starbucks and if I'm honest, they taste SO much better in France than they do in England. We didn't really know what we wanted to do for the rest of the day so we decided to just have a walk around the area and have a look around the Latin Quarter and it was lovely. There was a lot of small lovely shops that we had a look around and it was very colourful and lively too.

This was one of the small shops in the Latin Quarter and we was so in love with everything in there. The designs on the bags and scarves were beautiful and all of the jewellery was so unique and we just wish we had hundreds of pounds to spend in there...

After a long day, we went to Subway (again) and we couldn't wait to get into bed because were exhausted from all the walking around. I went in the shower and washed my hair and it caused a bit of an issue because I have bright red hair and it ended up staining some of the bathroom LOL so we were up for a few hours scrubbing the bathroom because we REALLY didn't want to get charged for hair dye stains. Oops!
